STEVEN SHINDLER FISHING INITIATIVE

In loving memory of Steven Shindler, CatRock Ventures has launched a new initiative to bring his inspiration and passion for fishing to disadvantaged youth in the Bronx. The goal of the Steven Shindler Fishing Initiative is to incorporate fishing into some of our current trips and programs. Students will have opportunities like ice fishing at North Spectacle Lake in Kent, Connecticut or fishing on Rockaway Beach, Long Island.

All donations in honor of Steven Shindler will be matched by the Yasgur Family to help launch this initiative.

Leadership and environmental education are core aspects of our program and this initiative will help introduce a new generation of kids to the vital importance of oceans, lakes, rivers, and ponds. Fishing gives opportunities for youth to develop life skills such as patience, persistence, and teamwork.
